ELISA kit for quantitation of Okadaic Acid :

This competition ELISA utilizes a monoclonal antibody as a capture antibody and a peroxidase-conjugated affinity purified anti-mouse antiserum as the detecting antibody.

Each kit contains :

	A 96 well, 8x12 strip plate, pre-coated with a monoclonal capture antibody
	A peroxidase-conjugated affinity purified antiserum as a detector
	Three okadaic acid standards
	A complete set of buffers and reagents necessary for completion of an ELISA

The assay features :

	Measurement of okadaic acid in the range of 9-81 ng/ml
	Sensitivity, reproducibility, reliability and stability
	A fast (2.5 hours incubation time) and relatively simple technique
	High correlation between OA quantitated in ELISA and HPLC

Indications for use :
  

	Detection and quantitation of okadaic acid present in shellfish (i.e. mussels, scallops) for routine inspection by the fishing industry
	Detection and quantitation of okadaic acid produced by plankton in freshwater samples

Contra-indications :
 

This kit is not intended to be used for quantitation of DTX-1 or DTX-3 event though there is slight cross-reactivity with these toxins.
