The antibody was obtained from polyethylene glycol fusion of non-secreting mouse
myeloma(P3X63.Ag8.653) cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mouse immunized with
okadaic acid.

antibody is okadaic acid specific. It detects okadaic acid in shellfish,

in ELISA. |
| Use : Basic research. | When
bound to a solid support (e.g. CNBr activated Sepharose 4B) it can be used
for isolation of okadaic acid and DTX-1 from shellfish samples by affinity
chromatography. |

| Stability : | When
reconstituted in aqueous solution, IgG remains stable for six months if
stored at 4oC. No considerable loss of activity was detected
when stored at -20oC over a period of one year. |
