The antibody was obtained from polyethylene glycol fusion of non-secreting mouse
myeloma(P3X63.Ag8.653) cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mouse immunized with
human ventricular myosin light chain preparation.

antibody is human ventricular myosin light chain 1 specific. It cross-reacts with porcine, bovine, and canine ventricular myosin light chain 1 and human, porcine, bovine, fast and slow skeletal muscle myosin light chain 1 as determined in ELISA and by Western blotting. 8-3 antibody does not react with atrial myosin light chains, ventricular myosin light chain 2, orbital muscle myosin, mixed skeletal muscle myosin light chains, smooth muscle myosin or myosin heavy chains of any species tested (human, pig, dog, cow). It stains human cardiac myocytes in culture as well as cryocuts of human ventricular and skeletal muscles by indirect immunofluorescence. |
